Pictures of farewell to me and to my wife Kokila in the Institute of Indology ,University of Wuerzburg, Germany on 5th July 2012.It was really a pleasant surprise to me..I was invited to deliver a send off lecture.I did it on “Laukika in the Kannada epic ‘Bharata’ of the first classical Kannada poet Pampa”. After the lecture ,the Professors ,staff and students of the Department organised an intimate ,unique ,warm farewell party.Words of love and gratitude ,presents of memory mixed with emotional expressions.My students presented me a surprise gift of a book of ‘Memories of Wurzburg,2009-2012. ‘Very rare pictures ,words of sweet memories and gratitude -it is a wonderful idea. Thanks to Lisa and her friends group.Prof.Heidrun Bruckner,Prof.Karin Steiner,Prof.Barbara Lotz ,her husband Dr.Rainer Lotz,Prof.Elisabeth Schoembucher ,Dr.Anna Esposito with her little son Federico ,Gloria Traeger with her husband Arne Traeger,Prof.J.Kreft ( Professor of Life Sciences and Vice-President of Indo-German society ,Wurzburg),Nilu Sinha ( Senior member of Indo-German Society,Wurzburg) ,Dr.Mathias Albon and my beloved students ,both of Kannada and Indology made this celebration a memorable one. Sarah,Lisa,Franziska,Martina,Pauline,Anette,Lalita,Kathrine Holz,Aki,Stella,Stefan,Miguel,Sebastian ,Kreisel and many faces of students gave me an opportunity to remember the last three years.I remember also Benjamin Hahn ,Claudia Keller ,Peritiba and the secretary of the Insitute Mrs Engel who were always helping us a lot here in the last three years.
