ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲೆಯೊಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂಟನೇ ತರಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಳೆ. ಸಂವೇದನಾ ಶೀಲ ಕವಿಯಾಗುವ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ಇವಳು ತನ್ನ ಅಮ್ಮನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಬರೆದಿರುವ ಪದ್ಯವನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರ ಆತ್ಮೀಯ ಬಾಂಧವ್ಯವನ್ನು, ಸುಂದರವಾದ ಉಪಮೆ ಮತ್ತು ರೂಪಕಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಚಿತ್ರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಅವರ ಅಮ್ಮನ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವದ ಅನಾವರಣ ಅನನ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಮೈದಳೆದಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಾಣಬಹುದು.

ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಇದನ್ನು ಓದಿ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸುವಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಆಶಿಸುವೆ: ಅಂದಹಾಗೆ ಈ ಪದ್ಯವನ್ನು ಬರೆದಿರುವ ಅನಘಾ ರಮೇಶ್ ,ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಅಕ್ಕ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಶಮಂತ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸನ್ ಅವರ ಮೊಮ್ಮಗಳು. ಅವರ ಮಗಳು ಶುಭಾ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸನ್ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ ಮನಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ. ಅನಘಾ ರಮೇಶ ಕಾವ್ಯಯಾನ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಲಿ ಎಂಬ ಶುಭ ಹಾರೈಕೆಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ……..

She built a house from a broken home ,
Carried a life in her womb,
Taught a kin from wrong to right,
And recites the line diamonds are all might.

She said spread your wings my little butterfly,
She never gives up and shines like a July sky,
She held your hand Tight,
And showed you the stars in the night sight .

She swept up the left behind crumb,
Dealing with the criticism of some,
Entertainer, disciplinary but ain’t never glum,
She is the one I proudly call mum .
