Pompe is one of the 7000 known rare diseases that are a result of a genetic mutation in the human body. Pompe Disease is a Rare neuromuscular disorder, inherited by a defective gene from parents.
It is a a progressive disease, and causes progressive muscle weakness and loss of muscle tissue. This documentary highlights the lives of 2 different Indian patients of Pompe disease. This is a public awareness initiative of Pompe Foundation, India being released on World Pompe Day – April 15, 2021.
