Theatre and Arts Appreciation Course ’11 at Ranga Shankara — Nuances of arts appreciation. Stories on the choices they made and the roads they travelled, from the maestros themselves. Dhrupad legend Ramakant Gundecha, Kutiyattam exponent Margi Madhu, Painter and Sculptor Balan Nambiar, Theatre Artiste Maya Krishna Rao and Art Historian Sunil Kothari speak/ demonstrate their art/ exchange views and debate with the participants. Sadanand Menon, the well-known culture critic has curated the course and will also speak on “Frameworks for Critical Engagements with Arts.”
Participants also watch the plays at Ranga Shankara Fest ’11 and engage in a discussion with the directors.

man is shaped by his sorroundings,art,music,literature,thetre activities,and a deep discussion will keep the society active,alert, alive,and happy. in this aspect though different acedeemies have been formed, they rarely work, towards the society. ninasam,pune film institute,and some awaking activities in kerala. are going on still these activities,should decentralise, and should reach urban, and rural people. i whole heartedly congradualate “ranga shankara” for their committment, recently i read that rangashankara will be busy throught out the year,for one or the other activity.though i can not participate, i wish this unique festival,and appreciation course,every success,let this function create new thoughts,and inspiration for all the participants.
