Best Article Competition 2011

It would be of  immense assistance to the journalist fraternity if you will please agree to publish the attached advertisement about the Fourth Best Article Competition 2011, in your publication/web site or circulate it amongst your journalist freinds.

As in the past three years, International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), New Delhi and Press Institute of India (PII) is organizing a competition for best articles on humanitarian issues / values, published in an Indian national or regional newspaper or magazine, either in any Indian language or in English.

The thematic: “Reporting on the fate of victims of armed violence – Humanitarian related Stories”

The Fourth Best Article Competition 2011 carries a First Prize of Rs.50000, Second Prize of Rs.30000 and Third Prize Rs.20000.

If you think you have written and published an interesting article on humanitarian issue linked to the situation of armed violence please do send a copy with complete details at murali@pressinstitute.in or post to Press Institute of India, Rind Premises, Second Main Road, Taramani CPT Campus, Chennai 600113.

Rules for sending enteries

Enteries should be sent before 30th July 2011 and results will be announced in October 2011. The article should have been published in an Indian national or regional newspaper or Magazine between April 2010and April 2011 in any Indian language or in English. Participating candidates will have to produce the proof of his or her article.
