ನವೀನ ಸೂರಿಂಜೆ ಪರ ವಕಾಲತ್ತು ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ನ್ಯಾಯವಾದಿ ನಿತಿನ್ ಅವಧಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ

High Court of Karnataka grants bail to journalist Naveen Soorinje in the Mangalore homestay attack case. This was possible because of the extraordinary courage displayed by Vijay Kumar one of the victims of the July 28 attack. He came before the court on Monday and told the judge that the police manipulated his complaint to include Naveen Soorinje’s name in the list of accused.
Vijay’s statement said: “I have stated on more than one occasion, publicly, that the complaint dated 28/07/2012 is not in my handwriting. I was only told to put my sign on a blank sheet in a state of fear on that day when me along with my friend were made to stay in the police station till 1 a.m. in the night. I would consider it a sin to complain against, of all persons who were present on that day, Mr. Naveen Soorinje and I swear by the God I believe in, that I did not allege anything illegal against him.”
