‘‘ನಿಮ್ಮ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಸಗಳನ್ನು ಏನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತೀರಿ?’’
‘‘ಪಕ್ಕದ ಮನೆಯ ಕಾಂಪೌಂಡ್ಗೆ ಎಸೀತೇವೆ’’
‘‘ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಕಸದ ತೊಟ್ಟಿಗಳು ಇಲ್ಲವೇ?’’
‘‘ಇದೆ…ಆದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ನಾವು ಬ್ರೂಣಗಳನ್ನು, ಈಗಷ್ಟೇ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಶಿಶುಗಳನ್ನು ಎಸೆಯೂದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಳಸುತ್ತೇವೆ’’

ಬಶೀರ್, ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಶಿಶುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೀಗೆ ಕಸದ ತೊಟ್ಟಿಗೆಸೆವ ಕ್ರೌರ್ಯತೆಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಪಂದನ ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸಂವೇದನಾಶೀಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವವನ್ನು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಭಾರತವೆಂದರೆ ಬರೀ ಇಂಥವೇ ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡಬಹುದಾದಂಥ ದೇಶವೆಂಬಂತೆ ನೀವು ಬಿಂಬಿಸುವುದು ಇಷ್ಟವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.
