This whole act is a great source of information for a successful drama. We should really think what kind of people who are supporting Anna Hazare and anti corruption movement. The great Indian middle class is totally aligned to the ground reality. They have benefited lot and one or the other point they have actively involved in greasing the hands of officials or have taken bribe for doing favour. This same people have opposed the OBC reservations in elite educational institutions and when we talk of reservations in private organization, these people who are supporting Anna turn blind.
To understand the media’s obsession with Anna. Please visit the following link:

And NGOs who are supporting this cause are also corrupt and just taking extra mileage to make more money.
I am not pointing at any single organization. But whole system is psychologically corrupt. NGOs are not exception for that. Bribing money just a one form of corruption. There are other impending problems in our society which is not easily solved.
I don’t know why you people are so silent about Medha Patkar’s week long fasting in protest against the land grab at the Golibar slum, next to the Mumbai airport.
I should have mentioned instead of more money, more projects to find why people are bribing.
@Vasant
Please do not make such baseless and half informed statements. Cite the name of one NGO that is making money out of this movement. Just one! If you are proven right, I shall stop supporting the movement! And in what way do you think the money is being made? Even before Anna started his fast on April 5, many NGOs in Bangalore, as well as in the whole of India, took out a Dandi March II. I was a part of it. I have myself seen the volunteers pooling money from their own pockets to get T-shirts for the event and in the end incurred losses since all t shirts didn’t get sold. And you are speaking of making money!
You may be right that the middle class greases the hands of officials to get their work done. Do you think they would do so if they weren’t FORCED to do so? How many of us do u think are happy to pay bribe for everything?? But we can’t help it in some situations. Its not that we do it voluntarily!! That is exactly the reason why the middle class citizens have connected with the movement.
Moreover this movement isn’t just about the small bribes that the middle class pays. Its about the big bucks that the corrupt officials and politicians are making which ultimately comes out of the middle class’ pocket! If I have to pay Rs 5 more than last fortnight, for one liter of petrol, its because of them! And this is what we are fighting for!
Maybe if you stop being pessimistic and look at the whole movement in a different view, you may be able to distinguish between reality and drama.
BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD.
