Farewell to Appa

About a month back, I was nursing a fever due to vaccination and I was sleeping. I felt cold on my forehead and I saw it was 3 A M and my father was watching over me, putting cold cloth on my forehead once in a while to ease my fever. I told him, ‘Appa this is such a small issue, why are you taking care of it?’. He said, ‘Putta leave petty things in your life to me, handle bigger things’. Little did I know a month later I will be harrowing through hospitals, doctors, second opinions and the demise of my father.

My father suffered a Cardiac Arrest last week when he was driving back home. We admitted him to hospital in time but alas the maker had different plans. I can only remember his smiling face when he left home, his zeal to write and extremely positive attitude of facing life.

As per his wish, we have donated his mortal remains to Bangalore Medical college which would help the medical students to understand the anatomy better. I wish to continue my life on his ideals and principles.

Good Bye Appa, until I meet you somewhere else, maybe in Space !
