But who is Saurabh Nimbkar? :

23-year-old Saurabh Nimbkar is a B.Sc. in Biotech and M. Sc. in Bioanalytical science student. He has been singing and strumming his guitar with all his heart, day after day on the local trains of Mumbai, from Ambernath to Dadar and then travelling back to Dombivali. He uses his talent to collect donations for cancer patients. And the money he collects from the passengers goes to a small NGO in Thane.

Why he sings in train?

In 2013, when his mother was living her last few months, fighting a losing battle to cancer, he used to carry his guitar to the hospital. While playing the guitar, the mood of the patients undergoing long and extensive treatment lifted up.

Unfortunately, he lost his mother in 2014. But, the thought of doing something for the people suffering from cancer remained in his heart.

After his mother’s death, Saurabh found a job in the quality control department of a pharmaceutical company. But he wanted to impact the society. -Storypick
