ನಾನೇನು ಸಚಿನ್ ವಿರೋಧಿಯಲ್ಲ. ಎಲ್ಲರಂತೆಯೇ ಅವರ ಆಟವನ್ನು ಯಾವ ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಗೂ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಿಲ್ಲದಂತೆ ಆನಂದಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಶತಕ ಗಳಿಸಿದಾಗ ಕುಣಿದಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಆದರೂ ಭಾರತ ರತ್ನ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗೆ ಸಚಿನ್ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಜಸ್ಟಿಫ಼ೈ ಆಗೊಲ್ಲ ಅನ್ನೋದು ನನ್ನ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಯಾಕೆಂದರೆ ಆತನೊಬ್ಬ ಅದ್ಭುತ ಆಟಗಾರನಿರಬಹುದು ಆದರೆ ಆತ ಆಡಿದಷ್ಟೂ ದಿನ ಬಹುರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳ ಉಧ್ಧಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಾನು ಹಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅಡವಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಂತ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ. ಯಾರಾದರು ಕೇಳಬಹುದು ಅದರಲ್ಲೇನು ತಪ್ಪು ಎಂದು ಈಗಿನ ಬಹುರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಅಂದು ಬ್ರಿಟಿಷರು ಅಥವಾ ಘಜ್ನಿ ಭಾರತವನ್ನು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಹೊಡೆದ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನೇ. ಅಂತಹ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಚಿನ್ ರಾಯಭಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಜೇಬು ತುಂಬಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಲ್ಲದೇ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಮೂರು ಕಾಸಿನ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವೂ ಇಲ್ಲದ ತಂಪು ಪಾನೀಯ ಅಥವಾ ಇನ್ಯಾವುದೇ ವಸ್ತುವನ್ನು ಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಜಾಹೀರಾತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರ ಹಾದಿ ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವ, ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಮಣ್ಣೆರೆಚುವ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿರುವುದೂ ನಗ್ನ ಸತ್ಯ. ಇದು ಜನ ತನ್ನ ಮೇಲಿಟ್ಟ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾರಿಕೊಂಡಂತೆಯೇ ಸರಿ.
ಅವರು ಜಾಹೀರಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ದುಡ್ಡು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು ಅಪರಾಧ ಅಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೂ ಕೂಡ ಭಾರತ ರತ್ನ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಹವಾದ ಕೆಲಸವಂತೂ ಅಲ್ಲವೇ ಅಲ್ಲ. ಹಿಂದೊಮ್ಮೆ ಇವೇ ತಂಪುಪಾನೀಯ ಕಂಪನಿಯೊಂದು ಪುಲ್ಲೇಲ ಗೋಪಿಚಂದ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಕಂಪನಿಯ ರಾಯಭಾರಿಯಾಗಲು ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೋಟಿಗಟ್ಟಲೆ ದುಡ್ಡಿನ ಆಮಿಷವನ್ನೂ ಒಡ್ಡಿತ್ತಂತೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಗೋಪಿಚಂದ್ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಉತ್ತರ ನನ್ನ ದೇಶದ ಜನರನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಬಹುರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳ ದಾಸರಾಗಲು ನಾನು ಕಾರಣವಾಗಲಾರೆ ಎಂದು ನುಡಿದಿದ್ದರಂತೆ. ಸಚಿನ್ರಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಥರದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವ ಕಾಣಸಿಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
ಇದೇ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿ ಮಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಧ್ಯಾನ್ ಚಂದ್, ಪುಲ್ಲೇಲ ಗೋಪಿಚಂದ್ ಅಂಥವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರೆ ಆ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯ ಮೌಲ್ಯ ಮತ್ತೂ ನೂರ್ಮಡಿಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಸಚಿನ್ ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೇ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ ವಿರೋಧ ಎದುರಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಬಹುದು ಎಂಬ ಅಂಜಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಸಿ.ಎನ್.ಆರ್ ರಾವ್ ಅವರನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗೆ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿದಂತಿದೆ. ನಾಲ್ಕು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಓಟುಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಇಂತಹ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಮಾಡಬಾರದಿತ್ತು.
ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಇದೇ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ, ನಾನು ಕೂಡ ಸಚಿನ್ ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಯೇ…..
You are right, Pururava. “…..ನಾನು ಕೂಡ ಸಚಿನ್ ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಯೇ”.. No need of preemptive bail. You can be more upfront when you are telling the truth.
I think he deserve Baratha Ratna but not at this point of time. He is still has lot of time to prove himself. Cricketing career of Sachin is fantastic but he has a social, political and cultural life. Which not known to many as of now. So they should have had the patient to weight few more years to accord the status of Baratha Ratna to Sachin.
Dravid is better player than Sachin in many aspects I wonder why such a media fuss about him.
Regarding CNR Rao he was caught for Plagiarism. He should not be given Baratha Ratna for that reason.

What is Sachin gets involved with some serious controversy and even found guilty 5 years from now? The Indian govt. shows unusual hurry in some matters and obscene delays in some other matters, well, when was any Indian govt. known for doing right things?
We just need readjust our expectations and move on…
ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಸತ್ಯಾತಿಸತ್ಯ. ಸಚಿನ್ ಸಾಧನೆ ಅತ್ಯುನ್ನತವಾದದ್ದೇ ಇರಬಹುದು, ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್ ಆಡುವ ದೇಶಗಳೆಷ್ಟು? ಅಂದರೆ, ಅವರಿಗಿದ್ದ competition ಏನು? ನೀವದಂತೆ ಅವರೇನೂ ಪುಕ್ಕಟೆ ಕಷ್ಟಪಟ್ಟಿಲ್ಲ, ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್ ಹುಚ್ಚನ್ನು ಸರಿಯಾಗೇ encash ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಭಾರತ ರತ್ನಕ್ಕೆ ಅರ್ಥವೇ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಹಾಗಾಗಿದೆ.
